Ok, but this still doesn't explain why one gets no answer when mailing to the support team asking to have an account deleted!!!

i've read elsewhere on Zooomr that if we need anything to contact support. but as far as i can tell, support is a black hole. i'm not aware of anyone ever getting a response. i also know that other users who need tech support will start tickets on the knowledge center:

as for deleting accounts...it's been argued that (paraphrasing)"there's no harm in keeping your Zooomr account open. so, why not just leave it?" I disagree with this but that might offer some insight as to why it's not a feature.

the only way to get your account closed is to get Kris to delete it. you can try zmailing him or posting to zipline. i can't speak for him as to whether he'll do it or not.

The EMail Support page feeds you two e-mail addresses:

zfeedback@bbridgetech.com and zooomr@xbs.co.jp

Unfortunately, Kristopher (or whoever made the change to add in zooomr@xbs.co.jp) didn't realize that they did it wrong.

They're passing in zfeedback@bbridgetech.com, zooomr@xbs.co.jp, which is valid, but the e-mail address " zooomr@xbs.co.jp" probably doesn't exist.

Note the space, " zooomr@xbs.co.jp" and "zooomr@xbs.co.jp" are different addresses.

The space (or the ) need to be removed:

This has been the attitude of Zooomr since the beginning, no reason to expect a change. Legally, they should be attackable on this point, but nobody is going to waste time doing that and they know it. Plus they probably don't want to see their user base decrease, which would inevitably happen.

At least, play it fair, dammit!

Kristopher - is that to say you're working on cleaning up accounts from people who've requested deletion, or working on a way to allow users to delete accounts? (Not that I plan on deleting mine =))

I have signed up a year ago and ever since then have been using Zooomr at all.

Just recently (after receiving newsletters) i deleted all my photos on this site (after some of them were reported 'unavailable' anyway) as well as changed user details, real names and email addresses.

What's the point of having dead profiles (like mine) all around? Can i have my account deleted please?

Speaking of which, any script that exists to delete all one's pictures on Zooomr? When one have too many pictures uploaded this is a real pain to do manually...

gnurou: Ping wrote an organizer script, which can be found here. It can be used to mass delete photos as well.

It used to be that we were all asked for patience because he was just one guy building this site all on his own, and now he's just one guy building two sites all on his own.

Face it, in the time Kris hasn't added a delete feature, he has added "realtime workflow", "project dashboards" and "Offline Sync" to whatever BlueBridge is.

I’ve come back to Zooomr after a year-long hiatus. Since coming back I noticed Kris and Thomas still post photos here, but there doesn’t seem to be any communication from them to the rest of the community. I didn’t think it was a good sign the blog hadn’t been updated since the summer either. I’m not outraged or anything, just a bit disappointed with the lack of updates & interaction. Am I the only one that feels like this? Surprisingly, there are a lot of really good photographers still posting here so all’s not lost yet I suppose. I just find the whole thing odd.
